SALES AND MARKETING ASSISTANT - FULL TIME

Primary Function

The Sales & Marketing Assistant is responsible for assisting the Resort Sales Manager (RSM) in the day-to-day operations of the Sales & Marketing function at the Glenwood Hot Springs Resort by providing administrative and additional support.

Reporting and Accountability
  • The Sales & Marketing Assistant reports to and is accountable to the Resort Sales Manager and may also take direction from the Lodge Manager.
Physical Requirements
  • Adequate physical agility to perform the physical tasks required in this job description.
  • Ability to push pull and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to navigate the Resort facilities.
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for prolonged periods of time.
Educational Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a sales role
Other requirements
  • Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • General office skills including phones, filing systems, form typing, copiers, fax, personal computer.
  • Administrative skills, including writing, editing and business letter formatting.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic function.
  • Must be able to prioritize departmental functions to meet due dates and deadlines.
  • Must have a PASSION for exceptional guest service
  • Present a confident and professional appearance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, professionally and respectfully with the public and other employees.
  • Strong attention to detail in fast paced environment.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends when required.
Work days and hours

The nature of hospitality often requires working non-standard hours and days. The Sales and Marketing Assistant must be flexible and available, including nights, holidays and weekends, to ensure coverage meets the needs of the Resort.
