About the Role
DICA USA is seeking a strategic, analytical Sales Manager to join our in-person leadership team in Urbandale, IA. This is a high-impact role responsible for leading our sales function, driving growth, and ensuring alignment with broader company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Resource Allocation
- Develop and execute a clear sales strategy aligned with company growth targets and margin goals.
- Manage sales budgets, tools, and team resources to maximize performance and ROI.
- Provide structure and clarity around priorities, pipeline management, and team focus.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, manage, and hold accountable the team.
- Provide clear direction, supportive coaching, and timely feedback to drive both performance and engagement.
- Maintain composure and clarity during change, challenge, or ambiguity-leading by example.
KPI Management & Performance Oversight
- Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for individual and team performance.
- Lead regular performance reviews to identify improvement opportunities and adjust strategies.
- Drive a culture of accountability and transparency using data and outcomes.
Pricing & Margin Management
- Oversee pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness while protecting margins.
- Partner with Finance and Product teams to evaluate and adjust pricing in response to market trends, cost changes, or strategic shifts.
- Identify margin improvement opportunities across customer segments, products, and channels.
Conference & Trade Show Strategy
- Select and staff trade shows and industry events that support revenue and branding goals.
- Align the team's pre-show planning, on-site execution, and post-show follow-up to maximize ROI.
- Represent the company professionally in customer-facing and partner engagements.
Sales & Marketing Liaison
- Serve as the primary link between Sales and Marketing, ensuring alignment on priorities, messaging, and execution.
- Participate in regular cross-functional meetings to ensure a unified voice and eliminate miscommunication between teams.
- Provide input on content, campaigns, and collateral based on field feedback and market dynamics.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of sales leadership, business development, or sales operations experience.
- Proven track record of managing people, processes, and performance in a structured environment.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with tools like Excel, CRMs (Salesforce preferred), and KPI dashboards.
- Exceptional communication and leadership presence-steady, composed, and data-driven.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in small to mid-sized manufacturing, distribution, or industrial product companies.
- Familiarity with EOS/Traction, Salesforce Lightning, and structured reporting environments.
- Background in pricing strategy, sales enablement, and sales ops is a plus.
