Our client is a leading global manufacturer in the printer, copier, and office solutions space. They currently need a sales manager for their Northern New Jersey office location. The candidate will be responsible for managing a team that sells specific business system products and services, both on the hardware and software side.
This position is hybrid, and will be in the office a few days a week (hiring manager discretion), thus candidates must live within a commutable distance to the office.
Job Description:
- Manage approximately 7 sales representatives charged with selling both hardware and software technology-based solutions to companies within a territory and/or an assigned account list.
- Train, coach, and develop new sales representatives as well as current ones, setting clear goals such that deadlines are met and 100% of quota is hit
- Conduct performance reviews, including assessment of monthly plans.
- Develop and submit accurate forecasts with sales representatives and conduct "ride days" with them accordingly.
- Constantly maintain product proficiency and knowledge of current and future promotions for products being sold.
- Keeps accurate notes and submits via forms/paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required.
- 7-10 years of related experience; management experience is a strong plus (both of exempt and non-exempt employees).
- Industry expertise is a must, with extensive knowledge of products within the company's space, as well as, competitors.
Anticipated base salary for this position is within the $85,000-95,000 range, plus commission (OTE is between 150-200K) under the terms of an applicable plan. This role is eligible for a transportation allowance and includes a laptop, a cell phone, and training. Excellent benefits from day 1.
