We are currently looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to drive business growth in the Food & Dairy applications market. This pivotal role is essential for generating new business opportunities, managing key customer relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of tailored solutions with the collaboration of internal teams.
Responsibilities / Tasks - Achieve and exceed sales targets for capital equipment as directed by the Director.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers to identify, qualify, and pursue viable leads.
- Proactively seek out new business opportunities by exploring the market and collecting valuable market intelligence.
- Effectively communicate customer requirements to ensure alignment with GEA's internal teams and successful project implementation.
- Represent GEA in a professional manner, showcasing your industry expertise while remaining focused on customer needs.
- Conduct prompt follow-up on inquiries and maintain clear communication throughout the sales process.
- Collaborate with engineering and internal teams to develop customized solutions aimed at customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and present compelling formal proposals to potential customers.
- Participate in industry trade shows, enhancing GEA's visibility and fostering new customer connections.
- Negotiate sales terms and finalize contracts in coordination with business unit management.
- Provide order confirmations and engage in turnover meetings with project management and internal teams.
- Track and report all sales activities, proposal statuses, and forecasts regularly.
- Manage travel and entertainment expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Coordinate closely with the Service organization to present a unified approach to customer engagements and technical solutions.
Your Profile / Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities: - Strong ambition to close deals and secure orders.
- Knowledgeable about food or dairy processing equipment with hands-on experience in troubleshooting.
- Adept at understanding and communicating complex technical data and engineering systems.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to thrive both independently and within a team environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% to meet customer needs and attend industry events.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build trust-based relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and comfortable using technology.
