Purpose: The Sales Manager will play a vital role in implementing effective sales strategies to expand Crystal Clean's business with both new and existing customers, focusing on the manufacturing sector. This position involves selling our high-quality parts washer and environmental services to small and medium-sized industrial and automotive repair businesses. Driving continuous branch sales growth will be essential.
Key Responsibilities: - Champion safe work practices in line with HCC safety guidelines.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and actively pursue new business opportunities in a designated geographic area.
- Identify additional service opportunities within existing accounts.
- Evaluate customer needs, present HCC products and services, and acquire new customers.
- Step in as acting Branch Manager when necessary.
- Conduct field tests and properly sample various waste streams at client locations.
- Generate sales leads for Data-Marketing efforts.
- Support field sales representatives in securing new accounts.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and promptly.
- Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
- Meet and exceed sales quotas for total revenue and new customer acquisition.
- Follow all corporate policies, including environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Able to engage effectively with customers, branch staff, and corporate departments.
- Proficient in using electronic devices, computers, and office equipment.
- Capable of operating relevant equipment like hoses and pumps.
- A proven track record in sales, demonstrating the ability to foster growth across all business lines.
Experience: - Sales experience is required (experience with HCC products is preferred).
- Experience in industrial sales is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) is necessary.
Education and Licenses: - High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- A Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Med Card with HAZMAT and Airbrake Endorsements is preferred.
- Ability to obtain a TWIC/rapid gate/port pass is desirable.
- A clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) adhering to HCC standards is mandatory.
Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift and move materials weighing 54-80 lbs frequently.
- Regularly push/pull large containers using approved equipment safely.
- Ability to climb ladders and access various waste streams.
- Frequent lifting of hoses and other equipment.
- All candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
Work Environment: This role involves working in diverse environments, requiring frequent standing, walking, driving, and using electronic devices. Essential activities include bending, squatting, climbing, lifting, and twisting. Noise levels may vary based on the work setting. The average annual earning potential for this position is between $70,000 to $90,000, with benefits including:
