Job Summary: The Lot Attendant prepares vehicles for sale by applying the appropriate appearance-improving treatments, such as vacuuming, performing detailed cleaning of vehicle's interior, upholstery, and carpet. Also, washing & waxing, and other applications of cleaners and conditioners to make the vehicle's appearance ready for sale, according to company standards. The Lot Attendant shares responsibility in maintaining the attractive appearance of the vehicles on the lot, the showroom and the areas surrounding the showroom, according to company standards.

Requirements:
  • MUST maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License and obtain a clean driving record
  • MUST be insurable under the dealership's insurance policy.
Working Conditions:
  • Outdoors in all weather, including Arizona summers.
  • Covered and secured warehouse with swamp cooler provided.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Inspecting vehicles to detect any visible defects, such as scratches and torn upholstery.
  • Ensuring that appropriate stickers & license frames are displayed on vehicle, including MPG inspection stickers.
  • Filling vehicles up with gas using company gas card as directed and with assigned fill level.
  • Washing the exterior and interior of vehicles, including vacuuming the entire interior.
  • Applying wax to the exterior, using products to restore certain worn components.
  • Cleaning upholstery, carpet, and other similar surfaces, using the appropriate cleaners, applicators, and equipment supplied by the company.
  • Applying dressing to tires and walls of tires.
  • Notifying Inventory Dept. when unprocessed safety inspected vehicles are on the lot.
  • Driving vehicles to and from emission processing stations; notifying the Manager of non-pass units.
  • Delivering vehicles from lot to lot, as directed.
  • Participating in re-merchandising of the display lot as directed by Store Manager or other management-level staff.
  • Assisting in preparing and setting up for off-site events, promotional events, and other company events, as directed by event coordinator.
  • Running various errands or making deliveries at the direction of the Store Manager or other management-level staff.
  • Ensuring that work area is clean, organized, and free of any safety hazards Using all company tools and equipment appropriately and safely.
  • Performing janitorial duties as directed by the Store Manager or other management-level staff.
  • Reporting any safety issues to management as soon as possible.
  • Maintaining a clean and polish appearance, wearing company required work wear, following employee dress code.
  • Maintain a professional code of conduct and always demonstrate ethical behavior.
