ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Build and nurture customer relationships in a collaborative team sales environment.
- Manage delivery processes according to the transportation department schedule, addressing any issues like delivery errors or stock shortages.
- Communicate with clients to ensure timely collection of accounts receivable while working closely with the credit department.
- Utilize market intelligence and business directories to identify and pursue new business opportunities and connections.
- Stay informed on industry trends, product innovations, and competitor activities, sharing valuable insights with customers.
- Travel to visit customers and prospects, ensuring our products meet their needs, including lifting and carrying items up to 75lbs.
SUPERVISION: No direct reports.
RELATIONSHIPS - Internal: District Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, VP of Local Sales, Accounting/Credit Department, Merchandising and Marketing, Operations, and Customer Contact.
- External: Customers, vendors, and potential new clients.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Work primarily in the field, engaging with customers under various weather conditions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - 1+ year of sales experience is preferred.
- Background in foodservice, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality is a plus.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- A proven ability to establish relationships and conduct cold calls to attract new clients.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- A competitive, results-driven attitude with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Effective organizational and negotiation capabilities.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM tools like Salesforce is advantageous.

Compensation will reflect relevant experience and education, specific skills, functions, location, and other applicable factors. The salary range for this role is expected to be between $50K and $90K, with additional incentive compensation.
