Join us on our mission to provide exceptional service and lead the industry. We are currently seeking a Sales Estimator for Home Renovations to join our Constructive Renovations Team.

In this role, you will report to a member of the Constructive Renovations Leadership Team and be responsible for selling our services by providing accurate cost estimates for home renovation projects. You will work closely with homeowners to understand their needs and budget, ensuring that all aspects of the renovation process are met with precision and care.

What you will do:
  • Sell services by securing home renovation projects through signed contracts and customer deposits, ensuring homeowners' expectations are documented clearly.
  • Identify upselling opportunities for additional services or products that enhance renovation projects.
  • Meet with potential clients to discuss project specifics, review blueprints and specifications, and address any questions or concerns.
  • Maintain open communication with consumers for consistent interactions and adherence to guidelines.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential project risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with vendors for accurate and competitive pricing of materials and services.
  • Prepare comprehensive cost estimates that encompass labor, materials, equipment, and vendor costs for residential construction projects.
  • Document all estimates, change orders, and related communications for reference and audit purposes.
  • Engage with clients to understand their requirements, address their concerns, and provide clear explanations of estimates to ensure satisfaction and trust.
  • Stay informed about federal, state, and local regulations; ensure compliance with standards and audit processes.
  • Enhance your understanding of our business model, including short-term objectives and long-term strategies.
  • Foster strong relationships throughout the decision-making process.
  • Uphold compliance with Fay's policies, processes, and practices through required training completion.
  • Exemplify Fay's Values, Operating Principles, ethical standards, professionalism, and code of conduct.
  • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities as needed.
What you will bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or similar credentials preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in construction estimation.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales, negotiation, and consultation.
  • 2+ years of customer service experience in face-to-face settings.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and labor costs.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints effectively.
  • Experience with construction programs or similar software preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong listening skills to effectively lead discussions and facilitate meetings.
  • Exceptional interpersonal abilities to develop and maintain relationships.
  • Analytical prowess to interpret data for identifying opportunities and proposing solutions.
