Skillsets & Experience
- Estimating experience in metal fabrication or related fields
- Familiar with engineering processes related to welding, plate bending, plate rolling, plate cutting, and general fabrication techniques
- Experience developing new markets and opportunities
- Ability to identify customer needs, write and present proposals
- Familiar with ASME & AWS project requirements
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints
Preferred Skills
- A self-starter with drive to succeed
- Organized detail-oriented approach to work assignments
- Good customer service skills and follow up
- Ability to build rapport with customers and prospects
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good math skills for pricing materials and estimation of labor costs
