Location:
California (remote with frequent travel within the state).
Travel Requirement:
This role requires extensive travel across California to meet with clients and partners, ensuring success in growing the SLED market.
Responsibilities
Primary Duties:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow GigaKOM's presence in the SLED market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at schools, local agencies, and state government organizations.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding GigaKOM's market share within the SLED vertical.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design and deliver customized IT solutions that meet client needs.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with top manufacturers and distributors to deliver competitive and efficient solutions.
- Travel across California to engage with clients, attend industry events, and support team initiatives.
Secondary Duties:
- Contribute to proposal development and contract negotiations.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on sales performance and market trends.
Qualifications
Required:
- Proven experience (8+ years) in IT sales, with a strong focus on the SLED market.
- Demonstrated success in managing and growing sales pipelines and closing high-value deals.
- Experience leading and managing sales teams to achieve measurable results.
- Strong understanding of IT solutions, including networking, cabling, and enterprise technology.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with key stakeholders in the SLED sector.
- Valid driver's license and flexibility for extensive travel within California.
Preferred:
- Established connections with decision-makers in California's SLED market.
- Experience working with or managing vendor partnerships.
- Advanced understanding of bid processes and procurement within the public sector.
