Supermicro Computer, Inc. is seeking a Sales Director responsible for maintaining the quality, efficiency, and integrity of our sales process through marketing activities and collaboration with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Finance, Logistics, and Programs. This role involves evaluating new and existing opportunities, understanding customer needs, and negotiating successful partnerships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop new accounts in the assigned region
  • Approach customers in Government, Data Centers/Cloud, Gaming, and HPC sectors
  • Conduct outbound cold calls and engage potential customers such as System Integrators, VARs, OEMs
  • Identify and develop new accounts, create target lists for vertical markets
  • Initiate outbound calls to potential customers
  • Manage customer relationships, handle objections, and provide superior customer service
  • Qualify opportunities and develop targeted lists for vertical markets
  • Communicate product and marketing information effectively
  • Monitor inventory, negotiate prices, process orders, and handle credit issues and returns

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related fields preferred
  • Minimum of 12 years of sales experience in the computer industry, including cold calling, lead qualification, contract negotiation, and deal closing
  • Passion for sales activities
  • Experience tracking and reporting lead activity data
  • Successful track record selling technology to corporate accounts
  • Strong communication skills across disciplines and cultures
  • Proven success in cold calling and engaging with decision-makers
  • Understanding of OEM, Web 2.0, Enterprise, and Data Center markets
  • Skills in pre-call planning, opportunity qualification, objection handling, and territory management
  • Experience in data tracking and reporting on sales activities
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets
  • Proficient in English; bilingual skills are a plus

Salary Range:

$159,000 - $193,000. The offered salary depends on location, experience, education, skills, and other factors. Candidates are also eligible for benefits, bonuses, and equity programs.
