Job Overview
We are seeking a strong, ambitious, and motivated Sales Director to drive revenue growth and expand our market presence across ZRODELTA, U.S. Optics, and Unbranded AR. This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy that leverages the full range of products and services offered by our brands, including firearms, rifle and pistol optics, and OEM parts. The Sales Director will proactively generate new sales leads, cultivate relationships with dealers and distributors, and develop new business opportunities while ensuring exceptional service for existing customers. This role also requires representing the company at major industry events, trade shows, and conferences to strengthen brand visibility and foster long-term partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to increase revenue and expand market share in the firearms, optics, and OEM parts sectors.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, ensuring performance targets are met or exceeded.
- Establish and maintain relationships with dealers, distributors, OEM partners, and key industry stakeholders.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to enhance sales channels and partnerships.
- Oversee sales operations, including forecasting, budgeting, pricing strategies, and inventory planning.
- Set clear sales goals and ensure the team has the necessary training, resources, and support to succeed.
- Work closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.
- Represent the company at SHOT Show, NRA Annual Meetings, and other industry trade shows to generate leads and strengthen relationships.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer demand to refine sales strategies and identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to firearms and optics sales.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of sales leadership experience in the firearms, optics, or outdoor sporting goods industry.
- Strong track record of developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
- Established relationships within the firearms and optics dealer and distribution network.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data, forecast trends, and develop actionable plans.
- Experience managing pricing structures, dealer programs, and promotional strategies.
- Willingness to travel extensively for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
- Understanding firearms laws, ATF regulations, and compliance requirements is a plus.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, Power Point etc.
Language
Effectively communicate and understand instructions both verbally and written in the English language. Ability to effectively interpret and translate customer requirements in a professional and respectful manner.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical and complex situations.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. You must be able to sit in a vehicle and drive for extended periods of time. Regular travel by conventional means is required.
