Role Overview

We seek a dynamic and entrepreneurial Sales Director / Head of Sales - USA to launch and build our American business.

This role offers founder-level opportunity without founder-level risk - backed by our global infrastructure and client base.

You will be seconded to our UK HQ initially to learn the Linnk model, before returning to Austin to:

  • Build the US division
  • Recruit and lead a high-performing sales team
  • Scale our Americas operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and lead the USA sales division; recruit and develop an initial team of 4-6 Sales Consultants within 12 months.
  • Leverage existing global accounts to establish a strong market presence.
  • Drive aggressive new business growth across Automation, Engineering, Technology, Robotics, AI, and Cybersecurity sectors.
  • Own and manage full P&L responsibility for the US region.
  • Lead from the front: coach, mentor, and drive high-performance culture.
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial terms at a senior level.
  • Act as the senior representative for Linnk USA - building credibility with clients, candidates, and the market.
  • Embed operational excellence across all recruitment and commercial activities.

Skills & Experience Required

  • 10+ years' success in recruitment sales, with extensive USA or Americas market experience.
  • Proven leadership in Contract (Contingent Worker/Freelance) Recruitment.
  • Ability to build, develop, and scale sales teams in a start-up or high-growth environment.
  • Strong business development skills with a proven track record of winning new business.
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong coaching and mentoring ability.
  • Full P&L ownership experience.
  • Entrepreneurial, resilient, and highly motivated to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Interest and knowledge across Technology, Engineering, and Emerging Sectors (AI, Robotics, Cybersecurity).
