About this role - Our Brand Partnerships team plays a crucial role in ensuring that Faire offers the best and most relevant brands to retailers. As a Sales Development Specialist, you will directly influence our success by expanding our brand selection and meeting the diverse needs of our retailers.
- We are seeking an agile self-starter who can quickly adapt and help manage our prospective brand partnerships. We're on a mission to become the go-to platform for brands selling wholesale and for independent retailers sourcing unique products for their stores, meaning plenty of opportunities for growth and learning as we continue to expand.
What you'll do - Gain a deep understanding of our sales process and collaborate with the team to enhance our brand directory.
- Identify and prospect high-value brands that align well with Faire's retailers.
- Contribute to our brand growth by qualifying incoming leads and applicant brands.
- Identify customer needs and address gaps through creative outreach strategies, including tailored email communication, warm/cold calls, social media engagement, and participation in in-person events.
- Build strong relationships with both brand partners and our Account Executive Sales team.
- Explore opportunities for personal and professional growth through special projects, potentially advancing to a full sales role or other positions within the company.
Qualifications Must Haves - Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- A strong passion for our mission to support small businesses, including artisans and entrepreneurs, to thrive.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Motivated, curious, and proactive, with a strong sense of integrity.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle hundreds of prospective brand accounts efficiently.
- A willingness to learn and analyze data through sales platforms.
- Meticulous attention to detail and sound judgment in assessing the best brand fits for Faire.
- An enthusiasm for contributing to a dynamic, high-potential culture and comfort with change.
Nice to Haves - Experience with Salesforce or other sales automation tools.
- 1-2 years of retail or customer-facing experience.

On-Target Earnings (OTE) Range The OTE pay range for this role is $65,000 to $89,000 per year, starting with a base rate of $25.00 to $34.25 per hour. This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual earnings will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, market demands, and work location. Please note that the OTE range is subject to change.
From January 2025, Faire employees are expected to work in the office two days a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the option to work remotely up to four weeks per year. Some roles may require full-time onsite attendance as specified in the job posting.
