A Day in the Life of the Sales Development Representative
In this role, you'll be on the front lines of the sales team-prospecting, qualifying, and engaging potential clients across multiple channels. You'll collaborate closely with Account Executives to generate pipeline, strategize on target accounts, and build lasting relationships with decision-makers. This role is all about proactive outreach, strategic communication, and setting the tone for a world-class customer experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Qualify and develop both inbound leads and outbound prospects into sales-ready opportunities
- Use a multi-channel outreach approach including calls, emails, and LinkedIn messaging
- Partner with Account Executives to build strategic outreach plans for target accounts
- Establish trust and long-term relationships with potential clients
- Track all interactions and outcomes in the CRM
- Hit or exceed monthly and quarterly pipeline targets
- Report sales metrics and performance updates to the Business Development Director
- Contribute to a positive and energetic team culture
- Set and pursue personal career growth goals within the company
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1+ years of experience in a sales-focused role (BDR, SDR, AE, door-to-door sales, etc.)
- Experience in selling a SaaS solution
- Familiarity with common cold calling, email outreach, sales techniques, and handling objections
- Ability to work closely and collaborate with Account Executives to develop target account prospecting strategies
- Confident communicator with strong personal, phone, and email skills
- Organized, self-driven, and comfortable working in both in-person and remote settings
- Goal-oriented with a strong desire for personal and professional development
