General Responsibilities:
  • Reports to the SVP of B2B.
  • Develops and executes sales strategies to achieve sales targets while leading a sales team.
  • Displays strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Thinks strategically to connect BJ's with customers through innovative methods.
  • Identifies potential growth markets and customer segments, creating ongoing programs to enhance sales.
  • Manages an organizational sales program, developing business plans, and coordinating sales activities.
  • Tracks sales goals, provides ongoing training for the sales team, and establishes individual targets.
  • Engages directly with customers through visits to clubs or business locations.
  • Collaborates with internal departments to meet customer needs.
  • Assists in developing strategies that align with the company vision while improving the B2B division's effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Establishes benchmark sales practices and provides input on development roadmaps for the sales team.
  • Aims to exceed quarterly and annual sales targets through effective planning and execution.
  • Recruits, hires, trains, and manages a high-performing sales team.
  • Monitors team performance, taking corrective action to ensure goal attainment.
  • Builds relationships with key customers and influencers in assigned territories.
  • Interprets customer needs and relays them back to the organization.
  • Keeps up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Prepares timely reports on sales activities, pipeline development, and revenue forecasts.
  • Contributes to the development of B2B sales processes and marketing programs.
  • Attends trade shows and events as needed.
  • Exemplifies ethical behavior and professional conduct for the sales team.
  • Effectively plans daily activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analyzes client data to understand behavior.
  • Develops client relationships to maintain current business while pursuing new opportunities.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to fulfill client needs.
  • Tracks sales goals and reports results to the Sales Director.
  • Maintains knowledge of BJ's offerings and value propositions.
  • Resolves client complaints, assists with returns or refunds, and enhances processes with the sales team.
  • Addresses team training needs to ensure ongoing development.
  • Stays informed about market trends, competitor activities, and client challenges, sharing insights with leadership.
  • Ensures the team drives both revenue and margin growth.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in sales, communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • 10+ years of sales experience, including at least 5 years in a management role.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Experience in developing and managing a sales team.
  • Strong understanding of the sales process from prospecting to closing.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data for actionable insights.
  • Adaptability with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Outstanding active listening skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate across teams, vendors, and clients.

This is a hybrid role. In-office days are Tuesday through Thursday at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA, with remote work on Monday and Friday.

In accordance with Pay Transparency requirements, the following is a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position: starting from $125,500. At BJ's Wholesale Club, we consider a range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries may vary based on factors like location, education, experience, and qualifications.
