Butler Machinery is looking for a Sales Development Instructor to train and mentor our sales team, helping them sharpen their skills and drive success. In this role, you'll design and deliver engaging training programs, provide hands-on coaching, and equip our team with the knowledge and strategies they need to excel in the equipment industry.

We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $130,000 depending on experience, along with excellent benefits and growth opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develops, implements, and facilitates sales and sales management related training programs to achieve strategic company goals consistent with our Mission and Values.
  • Creates structured training schedules and delivers training sessions across the sales and store management teams.
  • Develops and trains Customer Account Managers on effective sales techniques, including prospecting, qualifying leads, presenting solutions, and closing deals.
  • Develops and trains Store Management on effective sales management techniques and strategies to help achieve company goals.
  • Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives
  • Facilitates evaluative sales ride-along sessions to assess salesperson effectiveness.
Qualifications:
  • Expert knowledge of the Ag and Heavy equipment industry, including market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Comprehensive understanding of sales processes, techniques, and best practices.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to include formal presentation skills before small and large groups
  • Ability to accurately articulate and develop various sales training materials including manuals, presentations, videos, and e-learning modules.
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience preferred
  • 8 years of related sales and/or training experience
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and be able to meet company insurability guidelines - willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
