The Team: Our Sales Development Executive teams operate within various segments: Independent Medical Group Sales, Community Hospital Sales, and National Health Systems. Each team works closely with Sales Executives to source new opportunities and strategically integrate prospects into the market. These teams are pivotal in expanding our sales pipeline and nurturing future Sales Executive and Account Executive talent. Job Responsibilities
  • Effectively convey athenahealth's value to potential clients through multiple channels, including phone, online, and in-person interactions.
  • Develop effective outreach strategies leveraging collaboration with sales counterparts, marketing, and additional internal resources.
  • Collaborate with Sales Executives to evaluate the success of outreach strategies.
  • Initiate relationships with prospects to qualify opportunities and facilitate transitions to the Sales Executive team.
Typical Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1 - 3 years of professional sales experience.
  • 1 - 3 years of outbound cold calling and prospecting experience.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.
  • Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Adept at building rapport with prospects by identifying their needs and presenting athenahealth's solutions effectively.
  • Exemplary presentation skills and professionalism, whether on the phone or in person.
  • A team-oriented disposition and positive attitude.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of three days each week in our offices located in Atlanta, GA, Austin, TX, or Boston, MA.
