Job Description

Job Summary:

A Sales Data Analyst plays a critical role in optimizing sales performance by analyzing data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to improve strategies.

This role bridges the gap between raw data and business strategy, ensuring sales teams operate efficiently and effectively in addition to supporting management and executive teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, patterns, and growth opportunities.
  • Serve as the data liaison for sales and finance, supporting commission calculations, B2B distributor promotions, tracking and monitoring streaming revenue
  • Design, generate, and maintain reports, graphs, charts, and dashboards (using Power BI, Excel, etc.) to track and visualize KPIs such as conversion rates, deal size, and sales cycle length.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support sales leadership decision-making.
  • Work with the VP of Sales to forecast by evaluating historical data, market trends, and business objectives.
  • Provide data-driven insights to the VP and Sales Manager data to evaluate team performance and identify strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Design, develop, and implement workflow tools and forms to streamline sales processes and prioritize pipeline actions
  • Lead ongoing system enhancements and training initiatives to promote sales team adoption of new tools and processes
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and executive teams to refine strategies based on analytical insights.
  • Monitor pricing, profitability, and pipeline performance, recommending optimizations to maximize revenue.
  • Maintain SFDC systems to ensure accurate data tracking and reporting.
  • Evaluate sales territories to shape targeted market strategies.
  • Reviewed financial statements and provided actionable recommendations for pricing or promotional strategies.
  • Apply statistical modeling techniques to forecast revenue and uncover new growth opportunities.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. SFDC Admin Certification is a plus
  • Extensive understanding and working experience in advanced analytics and visualization skills, including SQL, Snowflake, Excel, Power Query (DAX and M Code), Power Pivot and Power BI, and Salesforce platforms. Familiarity with NetSuite's ERP is a plus.
  • Analytical Ability: Skilled at interpreting complex datasets and translating analytical findings into actionable, strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey insights to stakeholders using Power Point and other tools.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
