Position Summary:

Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Sales Coordinator supports the sales team in achieving revenue targets and expanding market share within the fast-moving consumer packaged goods industry. This role involves coordinating sales activities, managing customer accounts, preparing reports, and liaising with internal departments to ensure the smooth execution of sales initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has experience in a fast-paced CPG environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the point of contact between the sales team, clients, and internal departments (marketing, logistics, finance, etc.)
  • Prepare and maintain sales reports, forecasts, and presentations using tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM software
  • Track sales performance metrics (e.g., revenue, volume, distribution gains) and flag any issues or opportunities
  • Assist in preparing planograms, pricing sheets, product samples, and marketing materials for customer meetings
  • Maintain accurate customer records and update CRM systems
  • Help with organizing trade shows, product demos, and other promotional events
  • Collaborate with demand planning and supply chain teams to support sales forecasting and order fulfillment
  • Provide administrative support to the sales team including scheduling meetings, creating agendas, and managing follow-ups

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a sales support or coordination role, preferably within the CPG industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights
  • Knowledge of retail channels, distributor networks, and CPG market trends is a plus

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with major retailers (e.g., Walmart, Target, Kroger, etc.)
  • Familiarity with syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen, IRI)
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
