Sales Contract and Proposal Specialist

Goodheart-Willcox Publisher, Experts in Career and Technical Education (CTE), and an employee-owned company, is seeking a Sales Contract and Proposal Specialist. The Sales Contract and Proposal Specialist will evaluate and recommend RFP opportunities, develop proposals, and project manage RFPs and State Textbook Adoptions. This role follows a hybrid schedule which consists of working a minimum of two times per month in our Tinley Park, Illinois office.

Our compensation is market based and takes into account a variety of factors including the candidate's skill set, experience level, internal equity, and location. For this position, we anticipate the starting salary falling between $50,720 and $64,380 per year. In addition, the company makes a 10% contribution to the Employee Stock Ownership Plan and a 4% matching contribution to the 401(k).

What you'll do:

• Review incoming RFPs for alignment with business strategy, district requirements, and feasibility within given timelines.

• Create projects in Responsive, leveraging existing content and collaborating with subject matter experts to refine responses.

• Customize proposals to highlight G-W's strengths, ensuring compliance with layout and content requirements as prescribed in RFP documents.

• Develop original, compelling narrative responses tailored to specific proposal needs.

• Proofread proposals for completeness, compliance, formatting, and accuracy.

• Lead State Adoption for smaller adoptions and assist the Contract and Proposal Manager in larger State Adoptions.

• Manage Edcredible and other third-party adoption platforms.

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

• Minimum of five years of experience with the proposal lifecycle including bid reviews, compliance requirements, bid preparation, bid logistics, research and information gathering, and document preparation and assembly.

• Minimum of five years of experience managing deadlines and deliverables associated with RFPs and state adoptions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Planner, Teams, Excel, and Word.

• Experience with proposal management platforms is a plus.

• Proficiency with online bid platforms including Bonfire, Ionwave, Public Purchase, and iSupplier is a plus.
