We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Sales & Business Development Manager to drive growth in our coatings segment.
The right candidate must be excellent at multitasking - supporting business development at all levels including scheduling meetings, answering emails, handling inbound calls, making outbound calls, providing customer support and supporting our sales throughout the world. The ideal candidate must have a positive attitude, courteous demeanor and a high level of personal integrity.
Key areas of Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the coatings market (OEMs, formulators, manufacturers, etc.).
- Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers in R&D, procurement, and product management.
- Understand customer needs and collaborate with technical teams to propose coating solutions.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, emerging needs, and competitive activity.
- Prepare and present technical sales proposals, pricing strategies, and product demos.
- Assist in contract negotiations.
- Support Customer Service in the sales screening process by intake of inbound calls, make initial product and services to customers.
- Responsible for laying the groundwork to create targeted marketing campaigns.
- Maintain customer and prospect databases.
- Provide Customer Service support, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in technical sales or business development within the coatings or specialty chemicals industry.
- Solid understanding of coatings formulations, and applications.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel as needed
- Strong proficiency SalesForce, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word) applications.
