About the Role:
GDS Group is looking for ambitious, high-energy individuals to join our 8-week Sales Business Development Internship designed to build the foundation for a successful sales career. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role focused heavily on lead generation, cold outreach, and prospecting into senior-level decision makers at mid-market and enterprise-level companies.
Interns will work directly with the Business Development and Sales teams to source leads, initiate conversations, and book qualified meetings that directly contribute to the company's growth. Upon successful completion, top performers will be eligible for a full-time BDR role.
What You'll Do:
- Prospect New Leads: Research and identify potential clients and key stakeholders within target industries and markets
- Cold Outreach: Execute high-volume cold calling, personalized email campaigns, and LinkedIn outreach to engage decision makers
- Qualify Opportunities: Engage with prospects to uncover business needs, gauge interest, and assess fit for GDS solutions
- CRM & Pipeline Management: Log all prospecting activity, track touchpoints, and maintain clean data in our CRM (HubSpot/Salesforce)
- Campaign Strategy: Collaborate with managers to develop and test new outreach strategies and messaging
- Shadow Live Calls: Observe and support live sales calls and meetings to learn best practices in real-time

We're not expecting you to have an extensive sales background-we're looking for hustle, drive, and the willingness to learn.
You'll be a great fit if you:
- Are a graduating senior or recent graduate with a strong interest in sales, business, or marketing
- Have excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Are confident, persistent, and not afraid to pick up the phone
- Thrive in a target-driven, team-oriented environment
- Are highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and conversations at once
- Are open to feedback, eager to grow, and ready to get outside your comfort zone
