Purpose: The Sales Branch Manager (SBM) will implement effective sales strategies to enhance business growth at new and existing customer sites, focusing on the manufacturing sector. The SBM will promote our parts washer and environmental services to small to medium-sized industrial and automotive repair facilities. Continuous sales growth will be central to this role.
Key Responsibilities: - Promote safe work behavior in alignment with all HCC safety guidelines.
- Drive customer service and new business development within a designated geographic area.
- Identify additional service opportunities with existing accounts.
- Assess customer needs, present HCC products and services, and develop new accounts.
- Assume managerial duties in the absence of the Branch Manager as needed.
- Conduct field tests and sampling of various waste streams at customer locations.
- Generate sales leads for Data-Marketing initiatives.
- Support field sales representatives in securing new customer accounts.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork.
- Maintain compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
- Meet and exceed sales quotas for total revenue and new customer acquisition.
- Follow all corporate policies and standards, including environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Strong communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively interact with customers, sales branch employees, and corporate departments.
- Proficient in using electronic mobile devices, computers, and office equipment.
- Capable of operating equipment like hoses, pumps, and truck gear.
- Aptitude for increasing sales and fostering growth across all business lines.
Experience: - Sales experience is required, specifically HCC sales experience preferred.
- Previous experience in industrial sales is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
Education and Licensing: - High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Willingness to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Med Card with HAZMAT and Airbrake Endorsements favored.
- Ability to secure TWIC/rapid gate/port pass preferred.
- Driving record meets HCC's standards (including no serious violations like DUI or excessive speeding).
Physical & Safety Requirements: - Ability to wear personal protective equipment, such as steel-toe boots and safety glasses.
- Frequent lifting of materials weighing 54-80lbs, and pushing/pulling heavy containers using approved equipment.
- Frequent climbing of ladders and handling of hoses weighing up to 55lbs.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug & alcohol screening.
