Your key responsibilities include:
  • Leveraging your knowledge of CarMax's inventory to assist customers in matching their preferences with the right vehicle.
  • Guiding customers throughout their entire journey, from inquiring or appraising their vehicle to test drives and managing financing options.
  • Completing all necessary documentation to ensure transactions go smoothly for our customers.
At CarMax, we offer a competitive salary for new Sales Associates during training and throughout the first 640 hours of selling. Following that period, commissions will be your main source of income.

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $14.06 to $20.00.

Commission Eligibility:

This position is eligible for commission payments.

Benefits:

Per state law, CarMax offers paid sick time, vacation, and holiday leave. Full-time associates, whether hourly or on commission, can earn up to 48 hours of sick time annually and between 80 to 200 hours of vacation time each year, depending on their tenure with the company. They also receive 8 hours of pay for 6 recognized holidays plus 1 floating holiday. If required to work on a holiday, they are eligible for Holiday Premium Pay.

Full-time salaried associates have the flexibility to take paid time off for various needs with manager approval.
