Sales Application Engineer Our Application Engineers are vital to the success and growth of our company. Bluco Corporation is looking for our next Sales Application Engineer who will be responsible for designing fixturing systems based on customer requirements, installing tooling and providing post-sale training and support. While we're known for the quality and precision of the fixturing solutions we create, we are just as well known for the comprehensive support we provide for our customers. The new Sales Application Engineer will help us do both.
We are looking for individuals with a passion for manufacturing who are technically competent and have the personality to inspire our customers with the proven benefits of modular fixturing solutions. This position is open to candidates with a variety of manufacturing experience, whether through educational background or hands-on experience. We have Sales Design Engineer roles at various levels, allowing us to match the position to your experience and expertise.
You don't have to be an expert on modular fixturing on day one. If you're as motivated and curious as you are mechanically inclined, we'll share our 30+ years of industry experience, teaching you what you need to know to have a successful career with us.
What you'll be doing when you join our company:- Draw fixture designs in 3D CAD using SolidWorks for customer projects
- Create solution simulations using Visual Components software
- Review design proposals with customers using internet-based meeting software
- Assist with quoting process for custom designed solutions
- Support customer solution runoffs in our state-of-the-art Validation Center
- Provide on-site training for new and existing customers (travel approximately 25% of the month)
- Perform installation of designed solutions at customer facilities
- Perform maintenance and calibration of installed solutions at customer facilities
- Work closely with the Engineering team for custom designed solutions
What we need from you to apply:- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent work experience
- Ability to interpret 2D drawings and blueprints
- Proficiency in Solidworks or similar 3D CAD software
- Proven mechanical aptitude through education, employment, or personal experience
- Metal fabrication and manufacturing including material processing, welding and machining a plus, but not a must
- A focus on quality, and pride in workmanship
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal team members in person and via virtual conferencing
