Job Description
The Sales Service Specialist will determine customer needs, coordinate with internal departments, and ensure that customer requirements are met. This individual will be the LEED certified consultant to the sales service team and help the team do submittals and answer difficult questions (EHS / LEED).
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer customer inquiries in a prompt, professional manner.
- Determine needs of customer and recommend products. Seeks out other internal resources when needed.
- Supports customers in solving application problems and other complicated problems.
- Oversees and ensures that large projects are complete, accurate and ship in a timely manner.
- Creates pricing for complex jobs (including but not limited to takeoffs)
- Monitors and assigns work to other Sales Service Specialists. Provides one-on-one technical training, explains tasks, and assists in the solutions of problems.
- Perform selling with follow-up and value selling.
- Receives and enters orders into computer and provides work orders to production.
- Interfaces with design engineers on quality and maintenance problems.
- Has knowledge of product line, prices, and delivery times.
- Determines standard pricing from price list. Confers with sales reps or supervisor to obtain special order pricing.
- Types quote including specifications of the job.
- Develops and maintains a current mailing list of potential and existing customers. Provides samples and literature to customers upon request.
- Provide the customer with the best value including Cost, Quality and Delivery.
- Participate in improving our products, processes, equipment, and methods.
- Handle internal and external questions in a prompt, professional manner.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Continually look for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.
- Train and lead team on LEED best practices and compliance
- Performs all reasonably related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Three to seven years of progressively more responsible experience helpful
- Associate's degree in technical or engineering discipline, construction management, or architectural technology preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD 2D
- ERP and project management software skills preferred
- LEED certification preferred, or actively seeking LEED certification.
- Must be able to work well independently and be self-directed
- Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Good math and analytical skills
Additional Requirements:
Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
