Penn United Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Sales and Marketing Manager to join our leadership team. We are looking for an experienced, results-oriented leader to oversee the sales and marketing functions, in collaboration with the company divisions, to ensure effective sales initiatives and marketing campaigns that drive the success and profitability of our organization.
  • Universal Responsibilities:
    • Oversee the direction and coordination of sales and marketing activities
    • Direct, manage, and support overall business development activities, client acquisition process, and customer service
    • Select, train and motivate personnel, set goals and support career development, and provide regular performance evaluations and feedback for a staff of 12-15 professional Sales Engineers, support staff, and marketing team
    • Identify potential Sales and Marketing leaders and develop their technical, business, and people skills
    • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, cooperation, and professional growth
    • Administer established policies and procedures
    • Create and manage effective departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedures
    • Manage the company wide CRM software continuous improvement process
  • Responsibilities Specific to Sales:
    • Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to achieve established objectives
    • Monitor the sales activities of competitors
    • Oversee lead generation and/or qualification
    • Direct sales forecasting efforts and set sales quotas and performance goals accordingly
    • Collaborate and coordinate with Operations Managers and Customer Service Managers to implement sales strategies through inside sales, quotations, and customer service
  • Responsibilities Specific to Marketing:
    • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to achieve company objectives endorsed by senior management
    • Evaluate market research and customer feedback adjusting strategies to meet market conditions and identify new opportunities
    • Develop, direct, evaluate and assist with special events and promotions and the production of print, online (Website, social media content, etc.) or other forms of advertisement meant to promote the organization and its products or services
    • Measure and analyze campaign results to determine ROI
    • Monitor the marketing activities of competitors
    • Provide competitive assessments, product or sales training, or pricing and contracting assistance to the sales team
    • Collaborate with Human Resource team to develop effective recruiting materials/programs

Qualifications Qualifications:

Knowledge and Skills:

Comprehensive knowledge of contract manufacturing concepts, principles, and sales approaches

Understand and demonstrate a Servant Leadership focus

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

Excellent planning and project management skills

Ability to build collaborative relationships and influence others

Creative and strategic thinker with ability to drive strategic direction

Strong ability to professionally communicate using both verbal and written skills

Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally

Education/experience:

Required: Bachelor's Degree in Sales and Marketing, Business, or related field

Required: Minimum 15 years' experience in sales and marketing or related field with demonstrated growth through career

Required: Minimum 5 years in related management roles

Required: Leadership role in sales and/or marketing within last three years

Desired: Experience using Pipedrive, or other similar CRM software to evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of sales effort

Desired: Expertise in the markets the company serves, and processes used
