About Us
Cedar Rapids Tourism is the exclusive convention and visitor's bureau under contract with the City of Cedar Rapids to market the City as a destination for conventions, sports events and leisure travel.
What Are We Looking For?
We are seeking a Convention Sales and Sports Event Manager to participate as a member of the Tourism sales team in managing data entry for sales leads and contacts, preparing materials to support bids, facilitating sports events and familiarization tours that take place in Cedar Rapids and taking appointments with meeting planners and sports tournament organizers.
This salaried, management position will demonstrate excellent customer service, communication, teamwork and time management skills. The successful candidate will be detail oriented with a passion for our community, tourism and hospitality.
Schedule
Work hours are generally 8:30 - 5:00 but will vary with required attendance during events and at trade shows that can include evenings, weekends and holidays.
Benefits
401k retirement plan, and insurance offered. Salary will be based upon work experience and education. Qualifications: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in hospitality, retail or customer service with similar duties and responsibilities.
