Sales Analyst

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for providing sales analytics administrative support to the Rhode Island operations VP/GM and management team for our suppliers.
Daily/Position Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):
Tracks sales incentives and promotional effectiveness (Program payoffs) and spending metrics
Handles supplier brand and fiscal tracking
Creates and maintains supplier brand programs including data performance
Manage supplier Accounts Receivable and communicate with supplier reps
Prepare business performance reports as needed by VP/GM
Extract insights from vast amounts of data and translate that knowledge into tangible outcomes
Able to research (internally & externally) and gather industry information/data
May prepare meeting agendas and other communication materials
Provide back-up support to the sales teams and other office personnel as needed
Education/Experience:
Associates' degree or equivalent in Business or related area and five (5) years' experience
Prior industry experience preferred and retail sales data analysis required
Advanced Excel Skills
Data Analytics, data science, forecasting and data visualization knowledge preferred
Skills/Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize within a multi-tasking environment. Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet tight deadlines; strong oral and written communications skills in order to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization. Must demonstrate intermediate to advanced level proficiency within Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel (e.g. pivot tables, formulas, V lookup, filters) and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
