Our client is searching for a strong Food Sales Manager that will lead the account development and sales strategy for Protein/Meats. Ideal candidate MUST have Food Sales experience and will be skilled at building and maintaining relationships while identifying new markets to help build profitable growth. Will work with Sales, R&D, production, and QA in regard to filling orders, shipping, and costs. Must not be afraid to drive new business development and expand territories. Should have experience selling to large wholesalers and retailers such as Costco.


Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts
  • Develop positive relationship with clients
  • Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to clients in a timely manner
  • Achieve and maintain annual sales growth
  • Identify opportunities to expand companies' portfolio

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of food sales and account management - MUST HAVE experience with some type of food sales.
  • Experience selling food products to major retailers (Kroger, Walmart), club stores (Costco, Sam's Club), food distributors or industrial/ingredient sales is required.
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience in the sales of prepared meats and/or ingredients is a giant plus.

Salary is highly dependent on experience and education. Offers base salary, incentives, benefits and PTO


Must be able to travel 20-30%.


Relocation closer to office in Oregon could be provided for a "rockstar" candidate must have experience in the sales of meat food products.
