You will have approximately 13 patient contacts in the morning session and 9 in the afternoon, with occasional professional calls. The schedule will rotate between same-day appointments and pre-bookable appointments, including E-Consults. During the day, you will review patient results and Docman letters (up to 25 per day).

Main duties of the job
  • Deliver highly effective medical care to the entitled population.
  • Provide services in line with the GMS contract.
  • Prescribe generically, following local and national guidance.
  • Manage long-term conditions effectively.
  • Process administrative tasks promptly, including referrals and repeat prescriptions.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records according to practice policies and guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively, sharing the practice workload equally.
  • Follow best practices as per clinical guidelines and audits.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice.
  • Take delegated responsibility for specific areas of the QOF.
  • Attend and contribute to practice meetings as required.
About us

We are seeking an experienced and proactive GP to join our well-established semi-rural practice in Shropshire, serving approximately 4,500 patients.

Our team includes 2 Partners, 2 salaried GPs, a clinical pharmacist, and experienced nurses. We are also a dispensing practice.

Person Specification Qualifications
  • Qualified GP with MRCGP and CCT in GP
Experience
  • Previous experience in General Practice
  • Experience with EMIS
  • Experience with coil and implant fitting

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
