Title: Safety Technician Location: San Antonio, TX
Duration: 8 Months
San Antonio Manufacturing runs a 4x10 production schedule (Mon-Thurs, 5: 00 AM or 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM with potential OT as needed).
This role will support production and site projects that may require working occasional Fridays as needed.
Description - Assist with PPE signage, this would include the actual placement of signs and verifying updates.
- Assist in safety signage on the floor throughout the plant.
- Assist in compliance records retention, and spot check for accuracy.
- Assist in building out the training calendar for 2025/26. Inventory and organize PPE for Teams that require specialty items.
- Assist with documenting work processes for new JSA forms and catalog all submitted JSA's.
- Collect information from air, noise, temperature/humidity monitors.

- Using the Internet of Things (IoT) and connected manufacturing principles, the client's newest manufacturing facility will continue growing our market share gains, optimizing our supplier network and improving quality.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform safety audits on signage, warnings and PPE
- Perform data entry, update documentation of training and safety programs
- Monitor and manage inventory of PPE
- Perform safety walks multiple times a day to ensure support and identify issues/problem-solve
- Document Job Safety Analysis (JSA) forms with updated format and process across the plant, deploy the project across the plant
- Perform safety risk assessments and make recommendations
- Ensures appropriate action is taken where safety hazards exist
Desired Skills:
- Experience delivering safety training and developing safety course content
- Experience in electrical safety, LOTO, machine guarding, training, and ergonomics a plus
- Understanding of the issues related to the manufacturing environment
- Experience with detailed hazard recognition and preparation of written assessments/proactive remedies
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to speak in front of groups and write clear, concise reports and correspondence
- Knowledge of applicable region-specific federal, state, and local health and safety regulations (OSHA and NFPA standards)
- Basic knowledge of the solid and hazardous waste (i.e. RCRA), Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), groundwater and drinking water rules
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft 365 including Outlook, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint
