Safety Program Manager
The TEC/NEC/CES Safety Program Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, communication, and maintenance of all health, safety and environmental (HSE) programs. He or she provides direction on all HSE decisions which are critical to overall corporate objectives, operations, and profitability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop & implement ALL aspects of HSE programs
Address specific regulatory reporting and recordkeeping requirements of pertinent OSHA, EPA and other regulatory compliance matters
Perform routine and spontaneous safety audits for all company locations
Conduct hazard and risk assessments
Perform accident and incident investigations, determine probably causes and make recommendations for corrective action
Serve as the primary contact to address regulatory agency compliance issues
Ensure all necessary documentation and records are completed, submitted and maintained - accident reports, recordable accident documentation, workers compensation, near misses & first aid
Create a culture of safety minded employees
Actively schedule and conduct safety meetings and trainings across all company locations to communicate HSE policies, procedures, goals, and expectations
Provide KPI's and metrics on newly created HSE program to senior management
Stay current on industry trends, participate in industry related conference and training as necessary
All other duties as assigned

Solid knowledge of HSE practices, systems and program management
Exceptional observational and analytic skills
Active leader
Superior communication skills - able to interact with well with employees and senior management
Able to write cohesive procedural manuals and reports
Able to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively
Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in health, safety, environmental subjects or related field
3 to 5 years of safety management experience in a warehouse and/or manufacturing environment
Experience creating and implementing a HSE program
OSHA 511 course completion
Forklift trainer certified
Job Location
Based out of our corporate office in Lansing, IL
Travel up to 80% of the time visiting locations in 7 states

Full-Time Monday through Friday
Salary Expectations
Starting salary $80,000 based on experience
