Description
The Safety Manager - Data Centers/Utility Projects - Winchester, VA will be responsible for:
- Create and enforce safety programs and training for construction sites.
- Lead safety briefings and ensure workers are educated on regulations and emergency protocols.
- Oversee on-site compliance with OSHA and other safety standards.
- Assess project plans and site conditions to identify hazards and recommend solutions.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to minimize risks and maintain compliance.
- Document and report safety incidents, violations, and near misses, suggesting corrective measures.
- Investigate accidents, analyze root causes, and implement preventative actions.
- Work closely with project teams to uphold safety standards and ensure proper PPE use.
- Develop, update, and test emergency response plans to enhance site preparedness.
Profile
The Safety Manager - Data Centers/Utility Projects - Winchester, VA will have:
- At least 5 years of experience in construction safety management.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field (preferred).
- CSP certification or similar safety credentials (preferred).
- Extensive knowledge of construction safety regulations and OSHA standards.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Skilled in training and educating workers on safety procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
