Job Details:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Manager for our federal/government construction projects. The individual will be responsible for implementing and managing the Safety and Health Program on-site. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety of our team, the public, and the environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SSHO, Safety Management, and OSHA30. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and manage the site safety and health programs in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
2. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and industry standards.
3. Identify potential hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
4. Develop and conduct safety training programs for employees to promote awareness and understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
5. Investigate accidents and incidents to identify their causes and take preventive measures against recurrence.
6. Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required.
7. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure safety measures are integrated into project planning and execution.
8. Manage the safety equipment inventory, ensure that all equipment is in good working condition, and employees are trained to use them properly.
9. Stay current with changes in safety regulations and industry practices, and ensure the company's safety policies and procedures are updated accordingly.
10. Represent the company in meetings and discussions with regulatory agencies and other external parties regarding safety matters.

Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Safety Manager, SSHO, or similar role in the construction industry within federal/government projects.
2. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or a related field.
3. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
4. Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA standards for the construction industry.
5. Excellent ability to identify potential hazards and implement effective safety measures.
6. Strong leadership and team management skills.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and influence others on safety matters.
8. Proficient in using safety management software and other computer applications.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and make sound decisions under pressure.
10. Must be willing to travel to different project sites as required.
