About the Company - A government contractor is currently looking to hire a qualified Safety Manager to manage their safety department.
About the Role - Performing regular inspections of the facility, ships, and work processes to verify compliance with safety regulations. Writing and executing safety and environmental compliance plans, Job Hazard Analyses, Standard Operating Procedures, and Program Elements. Examining near misses, accidents, and injuries to identify root causes and mitigation measures, then reporting findings.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or Environmental Science with at least three (3) years of experience managing safety and environmental compliance OR five (5) years of experience as a Safety and Health Manager or Environmental Manager in a Marine Repair Environment.
Required Skills -
- Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint.
- A current driver's license and the ability to meet the requirements of the company's Vehicle Safety Manual.
- Position requires ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
