Our esteemed law firm is seeking a dynamic, highly skilled, and experienced Permanent Associate Attorney to join our team. This position offers an incredible opportunity to be part of a prestigious team of legal professionals, providing high-quality legal services to our diverse clientele. The ideal candidate will be a California licensed attorney with 2-5 years of specialized experience in family law. The successful candidate will have a strong background in litigation, excellent legal research, writing, negotiation abilities, and a proven track record of working effectively as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide legal representation to clients, presenting facts in writing and verbally to their clients or others, and argue on their behalf.
2. Prepare legal briefs, develop strategy, arguments, and testimony in preparation for presentation of cases.
3. Document and compile legal research and information for use in legal proceedings.
4. Negotiate settlements in civil disputes.
5. Conduct legal research and gather evidence, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
6. Advise clients concerning their legal rights and obligations, business transactions, claim liability, or legal rights and obligations.
7. Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for clients and the firm.
8. Participate in team meetings, contributing to case strategy and sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues.
9. Maintain client relationships, keeping them informed and engaged throughout the legal process.
Qualifications:
1. Must be a licensed attorney in the state of California.
2. 2-5 years of family law experience is essential.
3. Proven experience in litigation.
4. Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
5. Outstanding negotiation abilities.
6. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
10. High level of professionalism and respect for confidentiality.
11. Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
12. Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
