DescriptionSUMMARY The Safety & Compliance Clerk is a liaison between the Safety Department, drivers and Owner/Operators to make sure that the company operates safely, efficiently and within the guidelines set forth by state and federal laws and policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Maintenance of driver files.
- Assist with incoming calls to the Safety Department.
- Preparing new driver files and appropriate paperwork.
- Coordinate various driver needs (i.e. physical appointments, EZ Pass, passenger passes, etc.).
- Accurate filing of driver and Safety Department documentation.
- Assist with functions related to driver recognition and Annual Safety Meeting.
- Maintains information in a confidential manner.
- Other duties as assigned by the Safety Manager.
WORK SCHEDULE This is primarily a Monday - Friday 1st shift position.

Position RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS - Has fast and accurate data entry and filing skills.
- Has strong organizational skills to handle multiple streams of information in a fast-paced office setting.
- Has high computer literacy to use the PC and proprietary systems.
- Has a good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Has excellent interpersonal skills to work with drivers, co-workers, customers, and the public in a professional manner.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Previous DOT compliance
experience An Associate's degree from a two-year college or university is preferred; or a high school diploma or equivalency may be accepted if accompanied by five - seven years of experience and/or training.
