Position Summary:
The Safety Compliance and Training Manager is responsible for delivering comprehensive training programs focused on safety, compliance, and equipment operation. This includes leading orientation sessions, conducting OSHA-related and forklift/MHE training, and supporting the administration of the company&s training management system. The ideal candidate will help onboard new associates with both technical skills and safety awareness, while actively promoting a culture of continuous learning and compliance. This role may require travel to support remote facilities and consistent adherence to company-wide safety and GMP standards. This role will directly manage 1 direct report.
Work Location: This is an on-site role
Work Schedule: The work schedule for this position is a 1st shift Monday-Friday role that will require occasional availability before and after scheduled shifts for any emergencies or operational needs.
Travel: 0-10% and could include training the trainer opportunities at our growing start-up sites across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate Safety New Hire Orientation programs across multiple company locations
Conduct and certify forklift/MHE training for new hires and current associates
Train and certify site-level MHE trainers as needed
Provide hands-on leadership through regular performance management, coaching, and ongoing development of a direct report
Support remote facilities by traveling to provide on-site training and evaluations
Oversee new hire integration through follow-up discussions, coaching, and progress evaluation
Administer the training management system, including data recording, auditing, and reporting
Assist in the development and rollout of new training materials, tools, and programs
Observe and provide feedback to new hires to ensure effective acclimation to safety protocols and MHE operation
Conduct periodic site visits to audit forklift practices and promote safe behavior
Deliver refresher or remedial training as necessary to maintain compliance and performance standards
Enforce and monitor adherence to all company safety policies and GMP standards
Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational safety goals
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
3+ years of hands-on in-depth experience with distribution or fulfillment center warehouse operations, including receiving, put away, picking, shipping, and inventory control
Minimum 3 years of experience in direct people leadership, including responsibility for team performance management, coaching, and development
Experience operating various types of MHE equipment, such as sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks
Familiarity with RF scanning methods and warehouse systems
Experience training or mentoring in a warehouse or distribution environment
Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint
Strong team orientation, reliability, and customer service skills
Ability to travel to support training needs at multiple sites
Preferred Qualifications:
OSHA compliance training or certification experience
Hazmat experience within a fulfillment or distribution center is highly preferred
Experience with training management systems or E-learning platforms
Prior experience developing or customizing training materials
Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish)
Passion for safety, continuous improvement, and associate development in the logistics or transportation industry
