District Partners has been retained to help fill a key role with a dynamic healthcare SaaS company. This growing organization is revolutionizing patient transfer workflows and is seeking a Senior SaaS Engineer to join their team and contribute to the evolution of their product and technical architecture.
We are looking for an experienced SaaS engineer with a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, from early-stage product design to advanced system reliability engineering (SRE). This is an exciting opportunity to work on a modern product with minimal technical debt and contribute to the growth of both the technology and the company.
Responsibilities: - Design and implement new features, improving the product's architecture and scalability.
- Balance maturing the existing product architecture with the addition of new features.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated QA/testing strategies.
- Contribute to the overall quality, usability, and security of the product.
- Provide tier 3 support when needed and contribute to non-product technical efforts (e.g., IT, security, compliance).
Qualifications: - 8+ years of engineering experience building and architecting web-based SaaS solutions.
- Strong background in backend web/API development (Node.js preferred).
- Extensive experience with SQL and/or NoSQL, including data modeling, query writing, data migrations, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in designing and utilizing REST APIs and JSON as the data format.
- Familiarity with messaging systems and real-time communication technologies (e.g., WebSockets).
- Hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS) and SaaS operations.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks, including unit and end-to-end tests.
- CI/CD and version control experience.
- Solid understanding of web application security principles.
- Experience with performance and availability monitoring at both the code and infrastructure levels.
- Proven track record of architecting, implementing, and scaling a web-based SaaS product.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Preferred Experience: - Experience with healthcare products, including knowledge of HIPAA, FHIR, and HL7.
- Familiarity with large language model (LLM) product integration.
- Exposure to highly regulated environments (e.g., PCI, HIPAA).
- Experience with IT security systems, including Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Identity Access Management (IAM).
- Exposure to Progressive Web Apps (PWA) and mobile client targeting.
- Experience with business intelligence systems, both front-end and back-end.
- Previous experience in start-up or small organization environments, where wearing multiple technical hats is common.
