POSITION SUMMARY

Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Duties include receiving, sampling, verifying and recording incoming raw materials from suppliers; staging and shipping finished good or samples to customers.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES
  • Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
  • Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
  • Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
  • Pack, seal, label, to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with Supervisors, Co-workers, Suppliers, and other necessary parties.
  • Maintaining organization within the warehouse.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing facility setting preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years forklift experience in a manufacturing facility required.
  • Able to use computer systems, Windows operating systems.
  • English language communication both spoken and written.

  • Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Able to gather and analyze information skillfully.
  • Able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of office administration procedures and ability to operate most standard office equipment.
  • Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.
  • Able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Able to walk, stand, sit for extended periods
  • Able to able to handle extreme heat/cool weather operations.
  • Available for flexible working hours/overtime if needed.
  • Able to work in a diverse, team-oriented environment yet still be able to think independently.
  • Able to able to follow both written and spoken work instructions.
  • Strong work ethic and professional demeanor.
