Job Description THIS IS A TRAVEL POSITION based out of the Washington Metropolitan Area Position Description A large portion of the material for translation, summarization or gisting deals with military, cyber, and science and technology topics. Applicants who do not have prior experience in these areas must be willing to acquire the relevant knowledge for long-term success. Linguists for this requirements must possess excellent English skills and the ability to produce precise English translations. Linguists must be comfortable doing long technical translations.
Linguists must be willing to work anywhere in the Washington Metropolitan Area.
Linguist must be comfortable with assignments involving oral interpretation on various topics. Candidates for this position will need native level Russian (5/5/5) scores AND strong Ukrainian (3/3+/4) scores as well as strong interpretation skills. TDYs may last up to 90 days both CONUS and OCONUS. Minimum Qualifications Must be a U.S. citizen and provide a copy of your birth certificate or naturalization certificate.
B.A./B.S. 5 years relevant experience to include
Translation into English.
Interpretation.
Editing translations of others.
Summarizing pertinent details providing an easily digestible format.
Providing visual representation of analysis using charts, tables, and graphs.
