Position Overview: The Rural Services Director will establish a presence in all MRWH rural based counties by attending community events and advisory meetings pertaining to behavioral health (mental health and substance abuse services), providing information and connection to MRWH services; and serve as the point of contact for rural community partners such as: medical professionals, county attorneys, law enforcement, first responders and other stakeholders needing behavioral health resources and assistance. The Director will be the direct leader over rural programming and employees to include outpatient therapy, peer support, case management and MACT program positions. The Director will contribute to the overall agency's strategy for communications, which includes a level of participation in our website, social media and public relations messages, special events, and other content materials to consistently articulate MRWH mission and stay faithful to MRWH the brand standards. The Rural Services Director will ensure that MRWH is viewed as the community's driving force for the common good in the areas of behavioral health and assist in reducing the stigma and encouragement of parity in healthcare.
Job Duties:
- Community engagement in all MRWH rural counties.
- Focus on establishing on rural service coordination: special events, attend stakeholder meetings, assist with CHIP plans, identify gaps in services, monitoring the provision of services to the veteran or other special populations, and the behavioral health needs in all rural counties.
- Provide consultation and education services to outside agencies and public as assigned.
- Collaborate and promote the creation of telehealth services, office space, and marketing of providers and services in and for rural counties etc. with the addition of measuring outcomes for effectiveness.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate an annual outreach plan, and sharing MRWH branding for all rural counties.
- Working directly with senior leadership on identified gaps, service needs and program development.
- Coordinate information on rural behavioral health events for posting on social media platforms.
- Support the development, distribution, and maintenance of all printed and electronic collateral including but not limited to newsletters, brochures, posters, flyers, PowerPoint presentations and mailings for rural counties.
- Establish professional relationships with media personnel to better distribute the MRWH message in rural counties.
- Maintains clinical knowledge of electronic health record functions.
- Clinical supervision of rural clinical services programming and employees.
- This includes, but is not limited to MACT program, outpatient therapy, peer support, case management and CRR (client registration representatives) employees.
- Work to develop full continuum of care related behavioral health, being responsible for clinical outcomes of service programs.
- May perform clinical supervision for licensure candidates and/or those seeking certifications.
- Development and oversight of productivity and budget within service line.
- Compliance with Administrative Rules of Montana in all assigned programs.
- Develop training opportunities for employees.
- Conduct employee evaluations, interviewing, hiring, recommend terminations, and administer performance improvement plans.
- Member of Senior Leadership Team and Clinical Directors to support and implement MRWH policies and decisions.
- May perform emergency services both during and after normal work hours.
- Must have a valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and valid vehicle insurance.
- Requires completing CEUs annually to maintain licensure/certifications.
- On-site visits to all assigned rural MRWH locations meeting benchmark set by the CCO.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Montana licensure in a behavioral health field such as LCSW, LCPC, LMFT is required.
- Knowledge and/or experience of the Recovery philosophies is recommended.
- Knowledge and/or experience in Marketing is preferred.
- Supervisory experience is required.
- Travel is required.
Sign on bonus $6,000 (Part-Time Bonus $3,000)
Salary Wage: $77,000 + DOE
