Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Our Aeronautics Systems Sector is seeking a senior engineering manager to lead our Systems Engineering team. As a senior RQ4 - SEI Lead you will direct teams of 50 - 150 engineers across sites and through different lifecycle phases. You'll have a staff of managers and senior engineers and will be responsible for the program technical baseline while ensuring first time quality and executing within cost and schedule. In addition to executing on current work, you'll work with senior leadership on long range planning and strategic initiatives in order to poise the organization for years of future success. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Manage a team of 50-150 engineers across multiple sites, multiple disciplines
Responsible for directing technical authority to deputy chief engineering organization across the Enterprise
Responsible for directing technical authority to mission engineering, data analysis and data dissemination across the Enterprise
Managing systems engineering execution of the cost, schedule, and technical baseline
Perform Workforce Planning in collaboration with the functional homeroom
Leading strategies for future enhancements and improvements, with focus on affordability
Extensive interface and coordination with program management, customer counterparts, and sub-contractors
Perform Risk & Opportunity Management
Coaching and mentoring employees within the team
Leading strategies for Future Enhancements and Improvements with a focus on affordability
Leading & preparing proposals, and baseline planning for new activities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and a minimum of 9 years of relative experience or Masters in STEM and 7 years of relative experience.
Knowledge of SE processes, procedures and work instructions required to support both management and engineering tasks
Demonstrated success leading a cross functional teams
Experience in technical, program or functional management
Must have an active DOD Secret Clearance
Ability to receive Special Program Access PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's or PhD Degrees
Active DOD Top Secret Clearance
Significant experience with Earned Value Management
7+ years' experience in Defense & Aerospace industry
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management" Salary Range: $187,000.00 - $280,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
