The RPG Business Analyst gathers and analyzes stakeholder needs, translating them into effective technology solutions. They facilitate communication between IT and business teams, ensuring a clear understanding of requirements. With strong analytical and problem-solving skills, they help optimize business processes by identifying and implementing new technologies.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with RPG and the IBM i/AS400 system.
  • 3 plus years of Business Analysis or related experience.
Primary Job Functions:
  • Collaborate with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
  • Clearly identify project stakeholders and establish user classes, as well as their characteristics.
  • Define project scope and vision in collaboration with sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Identify stakeholders, user classes, and their characteristics.
  • Gather and prioritize user requirements through various research methods.
  • Analyze project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics.
  • Assess and enhance existing requirements-gathering processes.
  • Research and recommend software/hardware solutions to meet requirements.
  • Participate in QA and selection of documentation tools.
  • Develop clear and concise requirements specifications and prototypes.
  • Create process models and conduct peer reviews to ensure accuracy.
  • Track requirements throughout the project lifecycle and communicate updates.
  • Other duties as assigned.
