The RPG Business Analyst gathers and analyzes stakeholder needs, translating them into effective technology solutions. They facilitate communication between IT and business teams, ensuring a clear understanding of requirements. With strong analytical and problem-solving skills, they help optimize business processes by identifying and implementing new technologies.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience with RPG and the IBM i/AS400 system.
- 3 plus years of Business Analysis or related experience.
Primary Job Functions: - Collaborate with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
- Clearly identify project stakeholders and establish user classes, as well as their characteristics.
- Define project scope and vision in collaboration with sponsors and stakeholders.
- Identify stakeholders, user classes, and their characteristics.
- Gather and prioritize user requirements through various research methods.
- Analyze project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics.
- Assess and enhance existing requirements-gathering processes.
- Research and recommend software/hardware solutions to meet requirements.
- Participate in QA and selection of documentation tools.
- Develop clear and concise requirements specifications and prototypes.
- Create process models and conduct peer reviews to ensure accuracy.
- Track requirements throughout the project lifecycle and communicate updates.
- Other duties as assigned.
