Korn Ferry has partnered with a leading manufacturer of trailers, truck beds, and transportation equipment to identify a Robotics Technician to be based out of their facility near Paris, Texas. The Robotics Tech will be responsible for sustaining and maintaining robotic equipment in the manufacturing facility including robotic maintenance, robotic programming and plc programming.
Job Functions:
- Sustain robotic production operations through responding to and resolving breakdowns quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Perform routine maintenance on robotic equipment to ensure top operational efficiency.
- Help develop and improve equipment validation procedures including calibration and qualification.
- Inspect and maintain all System Related safety devices for proper function prior to start up of the system.
- Takes initiative to create, implement, and improve Preventative and Predictive Maintenance documents and schedules.
- Program ladder logic and structured text on multiple PLC controller platforms (Allen-Bradley/Siemens/Omron). Program and teach industrial 6-axis robots (Fanuc/OTC) Sequence complex, multi-station machinery for material pick-and-place, dispense, fastening, welding (Miller/Lincoln) and conveyance applications.
- Participate in spare part analysis and inventory development, cost reduction, improvement working with facility leader regarding components and communicate needs to the vendor.
- Train internal team to support automated equipment after project deployment.
Experience & Education:
- Minimum High School Diploma and/or technical school skill such as Manufacturing Systems and Technology, Industrial Robotics, Digital Electronics and Circuits, or similar.
- 2 - 5+ years of experience working with automated system equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience programming and troubleshoot PLCs, Robots and Welders (preferably Rockwell, Fanuc & Miller)
- Experience in design, operation, and maintenance of industrial control systems.
