Title: Pipeline/Infrastructure Software Engineer - Autonomous Systems
Location: Austin, TX (remote to hybrid- must reside in a driving distance)

About the Role:
Are you passionate about building the foundational technology behind autonomous vehicles and robotics? We are seeking a Pipeline/Infrastructure Software Engineer to design and develop a robust framework that powers self-driving technology. This role is essential in orchestrating autopilot components, ensuring seamless interaction, and maintaining high performance, safety, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement the pipeline framework responsible for executing autopilot code.
  • Optimize system performance, reliability, and safety to ensure seamless operation.
  • Develop monitoring and debugging infrastructure to help technology teams detect and resolve issues.
  • Ensure long-term data compatibility and algorithm reproducibility for system improvements.
  • Establish and maintain best practices for writing high-performance, scalable, and maintainable code.
  • Automate testing processes for autopilot software to ensure continuous integration and deployment.
  • Collaborate with developers to understand their needs and translate them into infrastructure solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Strong experience with modern C and writing high-performance code.
  • Proven ability to design and develop complex software systems from the ground up.
  • Strong problem-solving skills , with the ability to weigh trade-offs and ensure optimal solutions.
  • Experience building highly reliable and scalable software infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of system performance tuning and debugging tools.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Python for non-time-critical applications.
  • Familiarity with Bazel build system (experience writing Bazel rules/macros is a plus).
  • Previous experience in robotics, autonomous vehicles, or real-time systems.
