Opportunity:- Provide comprehensive clinical triage addressing patient concerns
- Develop a close partnership with the provider group to coordinate ongoing acute and chronic urogynecology care and surgical interventions.
- Clinical triage following established protocols, procedures, and best practices over the phone or through the electronic medical record (Epic).
- Be trained to competently perform catheter care, bladder scans, and nerve stimulation in addition to many other urogynecology procedures.
- Engage with our patient population which includes cancer patients, women with voiding dysfunction, women with pelvic floor disfunction, and more.

A well-qualified candidate will be:- Detail oriented and organized
- Able to critically think and apply training to complex situations and multi-faceted clinical scenarios
- Able to consistently meet customer service expectations
- Willing to travel for training and occasionally when clinical needs are identified at another clinic location.
- Curious and willing to ask questions to seek to understand situations they are not familiar with.
- Comfortable learning urological and gynecological anatomy and urogynecology outpatient procedures.
- Ambitious, motivated, and sympathetic to our patient population.
Schedule:
- 40 hours a week, 8:00-4:30 or 8:30-5:00 shift, M-F
- Position is based in Madison at the South Madison Campus
- Position is 100% in person, however, over time there may be opportunities for a hybrid work arrangement

Job Summary:Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- May round with physician in an inpatient setting.
- Applies the existing body of evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge in health care to nursing practice, ensuring that nursing care is delivered based on patient's age-specific needs and clinical needs as described in the department's Scope of Service.
- As an SSM Health nurse, I will demonstrate the professional nursing standards defined in the professional practice model. Uses the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses to guide his/her response to the current and evolving health and nursing needs of our patients and our patient populations.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Constant use of speech to share information through oral communication.

- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Occasional lifting/moving of patients.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Occasional driving.
- Rare crawling and running.
