Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursing unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of patient care, supervising nursing staff, and implementing policies and procedures that align with the organization's standards and regulatory requirements. This leadership role requires strong clinical knowledge, management skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate nursing care within the unit to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff, including scheduling and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and accreditation standards.
- Address patient and family concerns, ensuring a high standard of patient satisfaction.
- Monitor and manage staff workflows to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and oversee medical records management.
- Participate in staff training, development programs, and continuing education.
- Handle administrative duties related to budgeting, supply management, and resource allocation.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- BLS/CPR certification preferred
- Supervision/management experience preferred
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and best practices.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make critical decisions effectively.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
